About the Role

We are looking for a Software Development Manager to lead high‑performing technology teams and deliver exceptional product experiences. This role combines strategic leadership with deep technical engagement, ensuring teams make sound technology decisions while balancing business and technical objectives.

What You’ll Do

• Provide direct functional leadership : recruiting, performance management, team culture, engagement, and budget oversight.
• Maintain a high level of technical knowledge within the team’s domain to validate assumptions, guide decisions, and ensure robust technology choices.
• Ensure timely delivery of project commitments and balance business and technical priorities.
• Drive adherence to governance, controls, and standards across the team.
• Provide visibility into execution through performance measures and reporting.
• Align team activities with organizational objectives and clarify the link between work and strategic goals.
• Understand current and future business context to guide resource allocation, skill development, and cost decisions.
• Coordinate prioritization and scheduling with product management.
• Ensure technical decisions reflect standards, costs, and architectural roadmap.
• Promote engineering‑led innovation, ensuring early projects receive feedback and promising initiatives progress to completion.
• Flag resourcing issues and ensure short‑term embedded roles (e.g., Architecture, SRE) transfer knowledge effectively.
