We have an exciting opportunity for a part-time Meal Server within our PMRI clinic located in Scarborough, Ontario. In this role, you will offer superior service and maintain a clean and orderly manner throughout their shift. This position reports to the Sous Chef and/or designate.

Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Prepare menus according to study protocol and instructions.

• Follow proper requirements to ensure consistent and uniformed meals.

• Use the proper food handling technique at all times.

• Maintain a sanitary and organized food preparation and kitchen area.

• Correctly and precisely serve subjects meals as per protocol.

• Clean and maintain the eating area throughout mealtime and clean up after subjects' meals.

• Follow cleaning procedures and perform cleaning duties as scheduled.

• Perform defined work routines using various utensils, supplies and equipment.

• Assist with cooking when required.

• Assist in plating meals as required.

Job Knowledge

• Experience in the food industry or related experience.

• Completion of a Food Handlers course is an additional asset.

• Some experience with knives and cutting techniques is an asset.

• Excellent communication skills including excellent English verbal and written skills.

• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with clinic staff.

• Ability to work both independently and as a team member.

• Exceptional organizational skills.

• Basic knowledge in computer usage and software applications.

Working Conditions:

Part time position. Hours are flexible depending on business requirements. Some lifting up to 10 kilograms may be required.
