Description
The Ops Coordinator Security Control Tower acts as operational lead that is responsible for evaluating and stabilizing all discrepancies within the physical Security network. They are responsible for all security monitoring systems, audits, reporting and network issues, and assisting the overall network operations. The Ops Coordinator Security Control Tower will collaborate with Loss Prevention, Regional Service Lead teams and Network on a Continuous Improvement (Better Every Day) approach for service improvements.
The schedule for this role is 4 days a week, 10 hour shifts and every other weekend; rotating days and nights included.
This is a 12 month contract.
Responsibilities
- Providing, in accordance with protocol, alarm monitoring via Access Control and/or Automatic Video Display for intrusion, burglary, or duress
- Providing access Control with Automatic Video Display with Voice Communications
- Dispatch of personnel and escalation based on assessment of incident
- Performs intake, triage, and escalation functions for all incidents reported to the center
- Support investigations with video review/surveillance for theft, fraud, and health and safety related matters
- Creates and Supports incidents by case management documented or directed to do so by the Supervisor, or other authorized persons
- Performs active monitoring of various security systems, including video, access control systems, and high value/sensitive assets monitoring on tracking systems
- Collects information and data, create, and provides reports, maintains effective communications with a wide variety of stakeholders
- Manage and maintain employee access and ID card system and database
- Work with the Control Tower Line Haul / Ground / Air with various duties in Transportation Management, Communications, GPS tracking, Trip Tracking, assist with Mechanical issues, Trace Asset Movements
- When required, assist with coordinating Crisis Response
- Build case reports based on data collection
- Coach operation on how to use of tools, tactics, and best practices to be leveraged to benefit the customer experience
- Analysis of Operational and client-specific data to identify areas of opportunity for improved customer experience
- Work in a rotational Schedule 24/7/365
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role in the security service industry.
- Knowledge of the Multi Facility Security principles including the use of CCTV, Access Control, and Intrusion Systems. Candidate should have a broad understanding of Transportation and movement of goods and provision of services.

- Familiarity with CCTV, Access Control, Intrusion Systems and Alarm Response
- Ability to read and interpret as build diagrams for facilities
- Knowledge of Basic Security Principles and Dispatching
- Knowledge of Transportation Security, GPS
Language Requirement: Proficiency in English is required for this position due to the frequent communications that must be conducted in English with various stakeholders. This requirement is justified by the nature of the responsibilities and operational needs.
