The Opportunity

Portland Tractor Inc. is looking for a motivated Sales Representative to join our team in Langley, BC . As the Sales Representative, you will collaborate with a dynamic Sales team to support its growing customer base. In this role, you will have the opportunity to learn industry-leading sales techniques and gain in-depth product knowledge.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

As the Sales Representative your key responsibilities will include :

Identify new business through prospecting and cold calling
Manage inbound customer leads and maintain existing customer relationships
Determine customer needs, educate customers, and provide solutions
Support customers throughout the sales cycle, providing excellent customer service
Collaborate with various internal departments to enrich customer relationships
Visit key customers and prospects in your territory
Acquire product knowledge on all construction and mining equipment and parts

Required Skills & Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, knowledge, and competencies :

1 to 3 years of prior experience in B2B sales strongly preferred

Construction or material handling industry knowledge considered an asset

Post-secondary education in Sales, Business Management, or a related discipline

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook and Excel

A customer-oriented mindset and a genuine interest in identifying and presenting innovative solutions to customers

Excellent organizational skills and planning skills

Maintaining a valid driver’s license is required; ability to travel within the region required
