About the Role
Reporting to the Regional Sales and Distribution Director, Graymont is looking for a motivated Account Representative to support our regional portfolios across North America Western Region. This is an exciting entry-level opportunity for recent graduates or early-career professionals eager to launch a career in sales and commercial operations.
In this role, you’ll work hands-on with customer accounts, support regional growth initiatives, and partner closely with Account Managers to drive commercial execution and operational excellence. With a clear development path, this position is designed to grow into a future Account Manager role, supporting our long-term succession strategy.
The successful candidates must be comfortable in an industrial/mining/manufacturing environment and be able to be near and around heavy industrial equipment and processes. They must also have a strong desire to learn the lime manufacturing process, the uses for lime and limestone by our customers, and drive potential new/future applications.
Key Responsibilities
Account Management & Customer Support
• Manage a defined portfolio of customers across multiple product lines.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned accounts, addressing inquiries and resolving issues to maintain strong customer relationships.
• Support contract, order, and customer documentation processes to ensure accuracy and timely execution.
• Provide backup coverage for Account Managers during vacation periods.
Sales Support & Commercial Analytics
• Coordinate quoting, onboarding, and customer support for assigned accounts.
• Support pricing activities including pricing letters, freight data, and margin reviews.
• Assist with commercial analytics, including margin analysis, competitive comparisons, and pricing insights.
• Maintain accurate records related to customer interactions, pricing data, and documentation.
Market Insights & Research
• Conduct market research, including trend analysis, competitive intelligence, and emerging opportunities.
• Monitor competitor products, pricing, and industry developments to support commercial strategy.
• Support the preparation of market insight reports and internal recommendations.
Customer Engagement & Field Activities
• Engage directly with customers through site visits, association meetings, and industry events to strengthen relationships and understand operational needs.
• Assist with customer value propositions, sales presentations, and product education.
• Join Account Managers at customer meetings to support relationship-building and commercial execution.
Logistics, Service & Operations Support
• Assist with supply chain and service-level reporting, including customer KPI scorecards.
• Support freight, transportation, and logistics related coordination as required.
• Support internal teams (supply chain, quality, marketing) with administrative tasks, and data management.
CRM & Reporting
• Support Customer Management Relationship Platform roll – out (Salesforce).
• Maintain accurate customer data within CRM systems.
• Assist in preparing sales reports, customer updates, and activity summaries.
Required Qualifications
• Education: Undergraduate degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Earth Sciences, Sciences, or a related discipline.
• Work Experience: No prior experience required; however, any background in commercial or sales roles is an asset. Demonstrated strong work ethic in previous roles is also valued.
• Technical Skills: Working knowledge of computer software, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint & Excel.
• Learning & Development: Eager to acquire technical and commercial knowledge of our industry.
• Customer Engagement: Comfortable in a customer-facing role, including occasional travel and on-site visits (approximately 15–20% of the time).
• Languages: Bilingualism (French & English) is required for the Eastern region; bilingualism is a strong asset for Central and Western regions.
