Position Overview:
The Core Inspector is responsible for inspecting, evaluating, and processing returned core components to ensure they meet established acceptance criteria and quality standards. This role supports accurate core classification, documentation, inventory accuracy, and timely communication with internal teams to support the core return and credit process.
The Core Inspector will follow established SOPs, perform detailed visual and measurement inspections, document inspection results, and ensure approved and denied cores are properly identified and stored. This position works closely with Quality, Warehouse, Sales, Purchasing, and other internal teams to resolve core-related issues and maintain accurate records.
This role is based in our Abbotsford location and this role is a fully onsite role.

Schedule:
Monday - Friday
7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Pay: $20.00-$22.00 / Per Hour
Requirements
- Inspect incoming cores according to established Core Acceptance Criteria, specifications, and current SOPs.
- Perform visual inspections and measurement checks to determine core condition and eligibility.
- Identify whether cores meet like-for-like requirements and ensure proper classification.
- Document core inspection results accurately by completing RMA inspection reports and entering required information into the ERP system.
- Take and maintain inspection photos to support documentation and decision-making.
- Properly label and store approved and denied cores in their designated locations.
- Follow established procedures for processing core returns, credits, and inventory transactions.
- Ensure core-related transactions and records are completed accurately within the ERP system.
- Review and update RMA notes following customer feedback and required actions.
- Communicate core inspection findings and provide support for questions related to inspected cores.
- Escalate issues involving missing, incorrect, or non-matching cores to the appropriate supervisor and Sales team.
- Work collaboratively with internal departments to resolve core-related discrepancies and improve processes.
- Maintain organized inspection areas and follow workplace safety standards.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management to support operational needs and business objectives.
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in quality inspection, warehouse operations, automotive components, or manufacturing environments preferred.
- Hands-on experience operating forklifts and electric pallet jacks in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
- Experience working with ERP or warehouse management systems is an asset.
- Ability to read and interpret specifications, procedures, and technical documentation.
- Proficiency using computers, scanners, tablets, and warehouse systems.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify differences in component condition and specifications.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Basic math, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
