Job description
Company Overview The PEAK Group of Companies is a leader in home improvement, supplying a vast array of innovative products throughout Canada, the United States, Australia, and New Zealand. PEAK is a highly valued, strategic partner of Home Depot and Bunnings. Our unique business platform perfectly aligns with Home Depot and Bunning's do-it-yourself and professional customer, and our best-in-class products are offered throughout Home Depot and Bunning's massive retail network. The PEAK Group of Companies - proud recipient of the 2023, 2024 and 2025 HRD Best Place to Work Award. Our greatest strength is our people, a team of remarkably talented, supportive and passionate people. We are a place where innovation is encouraged, talent and teamwork are celebrated and results and success are rewarded. Role Overview The Inventory Analyst role supports our company's purchasing and supply planning activities by analyzing demand, managing purchase orders, and coordinating with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate inventory availability. The position requires a strong foundation in inventory planning, demand forecasting, and supply chain coordination within a manufacturing or distribution environment. The role is analytical in nature and involves regular interaction with vendors, logistics providers, and cross functional internal teams to support efficient and reliable supply operations. Main Duties Analyze historical sales data, demand trends, and seasonality to develop demand forecasts that support purchasing, replenishment, and supply planning activities. Review inventory requirements and sales forecasts to determine material and product needs, supporting timely purchasing and order planning. Create, manage, and monitor purchase orders throughout the order lifecycle to ensure accurate quantities, timely deliveries, and continuity of supply. Maintain inventory availability across multiple distribution centers to meet service level requirements of retail partners and contractors. Communicate regularly with vendors to confirm specifications, quantities, delivery schedules, and order status, and to resolve supply or delivery issues as they arise. Coordinate with internal stakeholders, including Production, Sales, Customer Service, and Logistics, to align purchasing activities with operational requirements and ensure timely replenishment. Work with logistics providers and internal teams to support shipment planning, monitor deliveries, and address transportation or inventory transfer issues. Analyze inventory levels, supply performance, and cost factors to identify opportunities to reduce excess inventory, avoid stockouts, and improve overall supply efficiency. Prepare inventory analyses, forecasts, and reports for management to support purchasing decisions, operational planning, and supply chain coordination. Support new product launches by ensuring materials and finished goods are purchased accurately based on initial forecasts and delivered in advance of launch timelines. Position Requirements: Bachelor's degree or college diploma in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Logistics, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in inventory planning, demand forecasting, or supply chain operations within a manufacturing or distribution environment. 3+ years of experience performing historical sales analysis and developing demand forecasts to support purchasing, replenishment, or inventory planning decisions. 3+ years of experience creating, managing, and monitoring purchase orders and coordinating with suppliers or vendors to support timely and accurate supply. 3+ years of experience working cross functionally with internal teams such as production, sales, customer service, and logistics to support inventory availability and order fulfillment. Demonstrated proficiency with ERP systems and data analysis tools, including experience using systems such as SAP or NetSuite and advanced Excel to analyze inventory data, develop projections, and prepare reports. Compensation: $102,000 The Peak Group of Companies is an equal opportunity employer. We respect the dignity and worth of every individual in the workplace and value the importance of diversity, fairness, and trust. We offer a dynamic work environment and a competitive compensation package. Our goal is to attract, develop, and engage employees with exceptional ability and diverse backgrounds. We thank all applicants for their interest, however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted
