Position Overview
As an Electrical Engineer- Project Lead, you will play a key role in leading the electrical engineering scope across a range of industrial projects, from well sites to natural gas processing facilities. This role combines technical expertise with project leadership, ensuring high-quality, code-compliant designs are delivered on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead electrical engineering scope for projects from well sites to gas processing facilities
- Oversee and review power system designs (SLDs, MCCs, layouts, schematics, cable routing)
- Direct power system studies and validate results (SKM, ETAP)
- Manage project deliverables, schedules, and resource planning
- Act as primary client contact for electrical scope; ensure alignment with expectations
- Coordinate across disciplines and vendors to integrate systems into final design
- Review and approve hazardous area classifications and emission studies
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to EIC team members
- Review, approve, and ensure compliance of all electrical drawings with codes and standards
- Lead equipment selection, vendor evaluations, and procurement support
- Support project budgeting, scope definition, and execution planning
- Drive consistency in EIC standards and best practices across projects
- Lead design reviews, risk assessments, and HAZOP/SIL participation
- Resolve technical issues and escalate key risks to project leadership
- Support development of team procedures, training, and continuous improvement
Qualifications:
- Degree or diploma in an Electrical Engineering or Applied Sciences program from a recognized University or technical institution
- P.Eng. or P.L.Eng registration with EGBC and / or APEGA
- 10+ years of relevant experience working in an EPCM environment
- Solid knowledge and understanding of engineering codes and standards is required
- Ability to use judgment to solve problems based on guidelines and procedures
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic and fast paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or as part of a team

Compensation
The salary for this role is based on an average of 37.5 hours a week. The estimated range is between $100,000 – $110,000 annually, depending on skills and experience.
