Project Manager

Location: Remote/ Hybrid in Nanaimo, BC/ Canada

Reports to: Head of Agency

Compensation: $70,000 per year + 3 weeks vacation

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with management and stakeholders.
  • Develop processes and templates for regular status reports to management, executive leadership, and other stakeholders as required.
  • Manage the delivery of multiple internal or external projects concurrently, ensuring the projects are delivered on time, on budget, within scope, and meeting the expected level of quality. This includes providing direction to and managing the work effort of project resources.
  • Ensure client (internal or external) expectations are clearly translated to the project team, actioned, documented and managed throughout the project; must prioritize, triage, push back and expedite items and issues as required.
  • Create and maintain a regular occurrence of required meetings, status calls and status reporting.
  • Ensure adequate information radiators exist and are maintained in order to keep stakeholders informed.
  • Engage with stakeholders both internally & externally.

Preference will be given to candidates who possess:

  • 3 years' experience in a SaaS or technology project management capacity with a good understanding of end-to-end project-management.
  • Proven experience in either Agile, Scrum or Waterfall frameworks
  • Strong familiarity with project management software (JIRA, Trello etc.)
  • Experience with CRM Implementations
  • A Project Management qualification (eg. PSM, CSM, PMI-ACP, CAPM, PMP etc.) is preferred, however is not a requirement

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following core competencies:

  • Planning and Results Orientation Organizes and executes tasks to meet objectives on time with high quality and consistent process follow-through. You will inspire the team to meet stretch goals by taking the initiative to set priorities and maintaining focus on achieving the best possible outcomes.
  • Creativity and Innovation Thinks beyond traditional models to recognize new opportunities and better ways of doing things. You will explore creative solutions to challenges and build an environment that empowers the team to champion continuous improvements.
