Application Support Specialist - Senior Key Responsibilities:
· IT Asset Management (ITAM)
o Manage and track IT hardware and software assets using ServiceNow HAM Pro & SAM Pro.
o Ensure asset lifecycle processes (procurement, deployment, maintenance, disposal) are followed effectively.
o Maintain asset compliance, optimize license usage, and prevent over-purchasing.
· Configuration Management (CMDB):
o Maintain and improve the accuracy and completeness of the ServiceNow CMDB.
o Ensure Configuration Items (CIs) are properly associated with assets.
o Implement best practices for CMDB governance and data integrity.
· Service Mapping & Discovery:
o Work with IT teams to ensure accurate service mapping of applications, infrastructure, and dependencies.
o Utilize ServiceNow Discovery tools to automate asset discovery and improve visibility.
· Governance & Compliance:
o Ensure IT asset and configuration processes comply with company policies and industry standards (, ISO , ITIL, SAM best practices).
o Support audits and reporting requirements related to IT assets and software licenses.
· Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:
o Work with cross-functional teams, including IT operations, security, finance, and procurement.
o Provide training and guidance on asset management best practices.
Required Skills:
· Experience:
o + years of experience in IT Asset Management (ITAM) and Configuration Management (CMDB).
o Hands-on experience with ServiceNow HAM Pro and SAM Pro.
o Exposure to Service Mapping and Discovery tools in ServiceNow.
· Technical Proficiency:
o Strong understanding of ServiceNow ITAM, CMDB, and Service Mapping capabilities.
o Familiarity with software licensing models, compliance, and cost optimization strategies.
o Knowledge of ITIL framework and best practices.
Desired Skills:
· ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) – HAM / SAM.
· ITIL v Foundation certification.
· Experience with cloud-based asset management.
Working knowledge of ServiceNow Discovery and Orchestration
