Unit Summary
Peri-Operative and Endoscopy Services at the Juravinski, Hamilton General, McMaster and West Lincoln sites of the Hamilton Health Sciences provides pre-operative, intra-operative and post-operative care for both adults and children.
Position Summary
As part of the Peri-Opertaive team, the Program Analyst provides critical and foundational information, analytical support to internal and external stakeholders of HHS. The Analyst also reviews, validates, submits, monitors and assures the quality of information systems, including EPIC, to facilitate evidence based decision making.
Schedule Work Hours
FT, Monday to Friday - days
This position is temporary until November 2027
Qualifications
• Post-secondary degree; Health information related / Commerce preferred
• 3-5 years of related work experience
• Advanced computer skills – Microsoft Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
• Experience with EPIC, Meditech, or other Hospital Information Systems is an asset
• Experience with hospital utilization, clinical and financial data
• Must have effective communication, relationship building and interpersonal skills within a professional environment
• Proven ability to work independently & collaboratively
• Proven ability to work within changing and tight timelines: ability to organize and establish priorities
• Knowledge of federal MIS guidelines, Ontario Healthcare Reporting Standards, and Ontario Case Costing Initiatives
• Project management experience and business analysis skills is an asset
