Programmer analyst Jobs in Guelph, ON

Our client, a non-profit organization in the education sector, is seeking a hands-on and experienced Senior Financial Analyst (Contract – approximately 6 months) with a strong possibility of extension or conversion to permanent. This role is critical during a period of organizational transformation and requires a seasoned professional who can quickly step in, support key financial processes, and provide meaningful insights to leadership. You will play a critical role in maintaining financial integrity, partnering with stakeholders across the business, and contributing to strategic decision-making at the senior leadership level.

Responsibilities:

• Support month-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Prepare and analyze financial reports, including plan vs. actuals
• Contribute to forecasting and year-end financial projections
• Partner with stakeholders to provide insights and support decision-making
• Translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for non-financial audiences
• Support financial reporting for senior leadership, audit committees, and board presentations
• Maintain hands-on involvement in data analysis and reporting using tools such as Excel and Power BI
• Collaborate closely with a small, high-performing finance team
• Provide stability and analytical support during a period of organizational change

Qualifications:

• CPA designation preferred
• Proven experience in a Senior Financial Analyst or similar role
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with Power BI or similar tools
• Demonstrated ability to “hit the ground running” with minimal onboarding
• Experience working with ERP systems (experience with Microsoft Dynamics environments is an asset)
• Excellent communication skills
• Available to start the contract right away.
