Job description

Our client is a leading consumer goods organization seeking a Senior Regional Financial Analyst to support one of its key regional business units (East, West, or Quebec). They are seeking a Senior Regional Financial Analyst to join them on a 3+ month contract. For the right candidate, there is strong potential for the role to convert to a permanent position. The role is hybrid with 3 days in office located in Guelph and 2 days work remote from home.

This role offers full ownership of the region's profit and loss statement while serving as a strategic business partner to operational leaders and brewery management teams. The successful candidate will combine strong financial analysis capabilities with a proactive, business-focused mindset to help drive operational performance, provide actionable insights, and support strategic decision-making across the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the full regional P&L, including monthly financial reporting, variance analysis, forecasting, and performance commentary.
  • Partner closely with regional leadership teams to provide financial guidance and support business decision-making.
  • Build strong relationships with individual brewery teams and operational stakeholders across the region.
  • Analyze financial and operational results, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities to improve profitability and efficiency.
  • Lead monthly forecasting and annual budgeting processes for the assigned region.
  • Develop financial models and business cases to support strategic initiatives and investment decisions.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and provide meaningful insights to business leaders.
  • Support month-end close activities, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Present financial results, forecasts, and recommendations to regional and corporate leadership teams.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, and other business functions to drive performance improvements.
  • Participate in ad hoc analysis, special projects, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • CPA designation (or in progress) is considered an asset.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of progressive finance or accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing, consumer products, beverage, or related industry.
  • Strong financial planning and analysis (FP&A) experience, including budgeting and forecasting.
  • Experience managing or supporting a full P&L.
  • Proven ability to partner with operational and business stakeholders.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience working with ERP and reporting systems.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to operate independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
