Director of Production
CannabismarketspaceBrantford, ON, CA- Full-time
The Director of Production will oversee all facets of planning, manufacturing, inventory, and packaging operations at Cannabis Co-Pack’s Branford facility. This role is accountable for ensuring production efficiency, product quality, and compliance with regulatory standards, while driving continuous improvement across our facilities.
The ideal candidate is a detail‑oriented problem solver with strong leadership skills and a proven ability to inspire and manage teams. While an engineering background is an asset, it is not required; what matters most is a track record of successfully leading production in a GMP‑regulated environment. The Director of Production will play a critical role in shaping operational excellence, optimizing processes, and ensuring we deliver high‑quality cannabis products to our partners at scale.
- Lead all manufacturing, inventory, and packaging operations, ensuring production plans are executed efficiently and accurately.
- Develop and manage production schedules, resource allocation, and dry materials management to meet demand forecasts.
- Ensure strict compliance with all applicable cannabis regulations (medical and recreational), GMP requirements, and health and safety standards.
- Partner with Quality Assurance to develop, implement, and enforce SOPs that meet EU GMP and internal quality standards.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators, including throughput, capacity utilization, yield, and waste, while driving continuous improvement.
- Identify, recommend, and support capital investment projects that improve capacity, efficiency, or quality.
- Recruit, train, and mentor a high‑performing production team, fostering professional growth and leadership at all levels.
- Build and maintain a culture of operational excellence, innovation, and accountability, where employees are motivated to contribute and take pride in their work.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with Supply Chain, Quality, and Commercial teams to ensure smooth operations and on‑time delivery to clients
