The Senior Manager, Program Management, Global Collections Operational Effectiveness contributes to the overall success of the Global Collections Operational Effectiveness team ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Supports Senior Executives, and especially Canada and IB Divisional Collections, by consolidating and communicating key milestones of Collections Strategic Initiatives, working with stakeholders to opportunely address target audiences and meet deliverables deadlines.
Is this role right for you? In this role you will:
- Prepare and contribute to program materials for leadership and governance forums, promoting clarity and stakeholder alignment.
- Consolidate reporting and progress from several different areas and groups to ensure visibility of Collections Initiatives under the Global Operations Strategic Pillars and monitor progress against Annual Plan.
- Summarize progress, issues, and key decisions for leadership while supporting risk identification, tracking, and mitigation across workstreams.
- Organize and maintain program documentation to ensure accessibility and compliance.
- Support the Executive reporting of Strategic Initiatives as well as Communication functions related to employee engagement across Global Collections Operations.
- Create, edit and proof clear, concise, high-impact, and engaging presentations and other content for internal and executive audiences.
- Build strategic partnerships across different areas from Global Operations, Technology, GRM and other business lines.
- Support the development of multiple projects and complex initiatives.
- Champion a high-performance environment and contribute to an inclusive work environment.
- Actively pursue effective and efficient operations of respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.
- All activities are conducted in compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and established procedures.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We’d love to work with you if you have:
- 5+ years of experience in Communications, preferably in a financial services environment, Collections and/or Risk Management.
- Experience in developing Communications and Change Management strategies.
- Excellent demonstrated ability to take complex ideas and translate them into digestible key messages that resonate with audience.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a demonstrated ability to plan and create effective content using MS PowerPoint and other programs.
- Strong interest in communicating and driving strategy through effective communication and stakeholder engagement tactics.
- Strong strategic thinking skills and financial acumen, with excellent attention to detail, and high-level accountability for the quality and timely completion of projects.
- Highly motivated, with a demonstrated ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced work environment with tight deadlines and demanding stakeholders, and the ability to be flexible, manage change and ambiguity with potentially conflicting priorities, and drive for both strategic and tactical results.
- Strong ability to create enthusiasm and foster a team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to understand your audience and effectively convey business strategies and financial information in a succinct, professional manner.
- Results-focused with a keen eye to details and good at asking the right questions to take your projects to the next level, build the story and execute a communications strategy well.
