Position Summary:

The Chairside Dental Assistant Program Instructor is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction and hands-on clinical training to students enrolled in the Chairside Dental Assistant program. The instructor supports student success by teaching theoretical and practical components of dental assisting, maintaining a positive learning environment, and ensuring students are prepared for clinical placements and employment in the dental field.
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver classroom, laboratory, and clinical instruction in accordance with the program curriculum.
Teach chairside assisting procedures, infection prevention and control, dental instruments, sterilization techniques, dental charting, radiography principles, and patient care.
Prepare lesson plans, instructional materials, assignments, quizzes, and examinations.
Evaluate student performance and provide timely feedback and academic support.
Demonstrate proper use of dental equipment, instruments, and clinical procedures.
Monitor student attendance, progress, and professionalism.
Maintain accurate academic records and submit grades and reports on time.
Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards and infection control protocols.
Support students during lab activities and clinical practice sessions.
Participate in faculty meetings, program reviews, and curriculum updates.
Foster a respectful, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
Coordinate with administration and clinical placement sites as required.

Qualifications:

Certified Dental Assistant designation or equivalent dental industry credential.
Minimum of 2-3 years of recent chairside dental assisting experience.
Previous teaching or training experience is considered an asset.
Strong knowledge of dental procedures, infection control, and dental office operations.
Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and educational technology platforms.
Current CPR/First Aid certification preferred.

Job Type: Hybrid.
Timings: Monday-Thursday(9 AM-1:30 PM) PST.
