Job descriptionCompleted post-secondary education in accounting, finance, or related field, and, 2-3 years of recent financial analyst experience. Demonstrated strong analytical and quantitative skills for interpreting financial data Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, lookups, dynamic modeling) Clear written and verbal communication for presenting findings and collaborating Understanding of accounting principles and financial statements Familiarity with Accounting software (e.g. Jonas Premier) is an asset Experience and proficiency in preparing and managing complex financial models is an asset Real estate development or construction industry exposure is an asset Proactive approach to problem-solving with a continuous improvement mindset

For us, building and selling homes is more than a transaction. We do it all for that feeling—the moment you open the door for the first time and know, deep down, that you’re home.
PRIMARY OBJECTIVES :
This role will primarily support the maintenance and updating of financial models, project budgets, cash flow forecasts, and investor reporting for Abstract’s portfolio of projects. This position is suited to a highly analytical and detail-oriented individual who enjoys working with data and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Maintain and update project proformas and financial models in Microsoft Excel
- Track and report budget and schedule changes, reconciling with project proformas monthly
- Update and maintain project cashflow forecasts
- Monitor job forecasts and identify budget variances in collaboration with development and construction teams
- Assist with preparation of monthly investor reporting
- Support monthly operating reforecast process through variance analysis
- Support continuous improvement of financial models and reporting templates

Benefits
A competitive salary range of $55,000-$65,000, and this role is eligible for our company bonus plan.
