Job description

Req ID:515498

At Alstom, we understand transport networks and what moves people. From high-speed trains, metros, monorails, and trams, to turnkey systems, services, infrastructure, signalling and digital mobility, we offer our diverse customers the broadest portfolio in the industry. Every day, more than 80 000 colleagues lead the way to greener and smarter mobility worldwide, connecting cities as we reduce carbon and replace cars.

Could you be the full-time GSIKey User (KU) in Whitby, ON we’re looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your expertise in digital operations and process improvement in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside a collaborative, detail-oriented, and innovative team of professionals.

You'll play a critical role in ensuring the seamless operation of our digital systems, processes, data, and tools at the site level, driving efficiency and effectiveness in our operations. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with regional business process experts, the IS region team, and various site stakeholders to ensure adherence to the core model Information Solution, provide first-level support, and lead training initiatives for end-users.

You’ll specifically take care of monitoring and improving key operational and digital indicators, as well as ensuring data accuracy and system compliance, but also identifying and implementing process and tool enhancements.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Monitoring and driving improvements to all operational and digital indicators (metrics & KPIs).

  • Ensuring the correct use of systems, adherence to processes, and data accuracy.

  • Performing system management tasks, such as IDOC and COGI error management.

  • Leading root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions for process, data, system, and tool issues.

  • Providing technical support and training to end-users, including creating and maintaining training documentation.

  • Managing system user access and authorizations in alignment with internal control rules.

  • Collaborating with regional business process experts to identify and implement improvements, system automation, and KPI reporting needs.

  • Testing system or tool changes and leading site deployment of relevant updates, including change management efforts.

All about you

We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

  • Experience in Alstom systems/tools and processes within the assigned streams.

  • Strong expertise in solving complex system process problems and leading process improvements.

  • Proficiency in training and mentoring others effectively.

  • Proven leadership and influencing skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to adapt to change and perform effectively in challenging or ambiguous situations.

  • Experience working in an international and matrixed organization.

  • Fluency in English.

Things you’ll enjoy Join us on a life-long transformative journey – the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career. You’ll also:

  • Enjoy stability, challenges, and a long-term career free from monotonous daily routines.

  • Work with new security standards for rail signalling.

  • Collaborate with transverse teams and helpful colleagues.

  • Contribute to innovative projects that make a difference.

  • Utilise our flexible and inclusive working environment.

  • Steer your career in whatever direction you choose across functions and countries.

  • Benefit from our investment in your development through award-winning learning opportunities.

  • Progress towards advanced leadership or specialized roles within Alstom.

  • Enjoy a fair and dynamic reward package that recognizes your performance and potential, plus comprehensive and competitive social coverage (life, medical, pension).
