Job description
Adecco is currently hiring a International Talent Acquisition Specialist for a full-time temporary contract opportunity. This role is ideal for an organized and detail-oriented professional with experience in recruitment, immigration coordination, employee settlement, or human resources who is comfortable supporting employees throughout the qualification and settlement process.
In this position, you will support the qualification of new foreign drivers, coordinate immigration-related activities, monitor employee legal status, and oversee settlement activities while maintaining accurate records and managing associated training and settlement expenses.
  • Location: Saint John, NB
  • Pay Rate: starting at $24.50
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday | 8:00 AM or 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM or 5:00 PM
  • Employment Type: Full-Time | 6 to 8-Month Temporary Contract
Responsibilities
  • Qualify new foreign drivers in accordance with established Sunbury Qualification Standards.
  • Work with the Centre of Excellence (COE) on immigration applications, visas, and visa extensions.
  • Monitor and maintain information regarding the legal status of foreign employees.
  • Maintain accurate records and track important immigration activity dates for foreign employees.
  • Oversee settlement activities for newcomers.
  • Manage and monitor training and settlement-related spending.
  • Utilize ORC and HCM people management tools to support employee and administrative processes.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders throughout the immigration and settlement process.
  • Maintain accurate and organized documentation related to foreign employee qualification, immigration, and settlement activities.
  • Travel approximately 25% to 30% as required.
Qualifications
  • Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.
  • Undergraduate degree in Business; a concentration in Human Resources or another related discipline is considered an asset.
  • 2 to 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience within the transportation and logistics industry is considered an asset.
  • Experience in newcomer recruitment and settlement in Canada is considered an asset.
  • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent time management and prioritization abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and maintain accurate employee records.
  • Ability to speak multiple languages is considered an asset.
  • Comfortable travelling approximately 25% to 30% as required.
