The Junior Video Editor & AI Creative Intern supports hands-on video editing and post-production while exploring responsible integration of generative AI into creative workflows. This role partners with Producers, Creative Directors, and the Maker Team to execute brand-safe video content across multiple formats. The position focuses on developing strong foundational craft in editing, motion, and sound while applying AI tools with control and quality. Success is measured by reliability of delivery, quality of execution, and thoughtful experimentation within structured production pipelines.
Internship Term: May - August, 2026
What You’ll Do
- Edit and assemble video content using Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects, delivering final assets to defined technical and brand specifications.
- Execute post-production tasks including color correction, basic motion graphics, sound design, and asset management within shared production systems.
- Generate AI-enabled visual, motion, or audio content using tools such as Runway, Midjourney, ChatGPT, Gemini, Veo, or similar platforms, aligned to project briefs.
- Apply structured prompting techniques to produce cohesive, brand-safe outputs that support campaign storytelling.
- Document workflows and share learnings with the Maker Team to support responsible AI integration and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Required:
- Portfolio demonstrating hands-on video editing or post-production work across at least 3 projects, with clear description of individual contributions.
- Graduating by April 2026 or graduated within the past two years from a post-secondary program in Film, Media Production, Animation, Creative Technology, or related field.
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and/or After Effects demonstrated through completed video deliverables (e.g., social video, short film, motion piece).
- Demonstrated hands-on experimentation with generative AI tools for image, video, or audio creation, with examples of outputs and prompting approach.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines, evidenced through academic, freelance, or project-based work.
Desired:
- Comfort and enthusiasm for using AI as a regular part of how work gets done.
- Experience with color grading, basic VFX, or motion graphics workflows demonstrated through portfolio examples.
- Familiarity with asset organization, file naming conventions, and version control in collaborative production environments.
- Exposure to regulated industries or brand-safety review processes through coursework or project experience.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional creative or production teams with clearly defined roles and responsibilities.
Additional Information
This posting is for a newly created role at Klick. The base salary for this position is CAD 50,000 per year and will be determined based on several factors such as a candidate’s work location, their unique skill set, education, and prior experience.
