Job description

We are a quality-focused manufacturer of millwork, casework, woodwork, and feature elements.

Using the latest techniques and machinery, we craft custom pieces from wood, wood veneer, plastic laminate, solid surface, stone, metal, glass, carbon fibre, and a wide range of unique materials and surfaces.

We are looking for like-minded and motivated individuals with a drive for perfection in the woodworking industry. We strive to create high-quality and cost-effective solutions for our customers across North America and worldwide.

Our millwork can be found from coast to coast and beyond in 5-star hotels, high-end restaurants, top-tier malls, custom office environments, and luxury condominiums. We are looking for individuals who want to add to this diverse portfolio and be proud of the work they complete with us.

Compensation:

$65,000 - $90,000 yearly


Responsibilities:

Duties:

  • Carrying out all facets of woodworking, from milling to machining to assembly and sanding
  • Working with solid woods, veneers, plastic laminates, plywood, MDF, HDF, and particle board
  • Operate woodworking machines and use hand tools to cut, shape, and form parts and components
  • Trimming joints and fitting parts and sub-assemblies together to form complete units, and reinforcing joints
  • Well-versed in the use and maintenance of various hand and power tools used in woodworking
  • Sanding wooden surfaces and applying veneers, stain, or polish to finished products
  • Preparing and applying laminated plastics

Qualifications:

Skill Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of woodwork schooling and 5 years of shop experience, or a minimum of 10 years of shop experience
  • Knowledgeable in the use and application of various adhesives and finishes involved with woodworking
  • Familiar with the safe operation of all stationary machinery, such as ripsaw, radial arm saw, jointer, thickness planer, edge sander, wide belt sander, panel saw, table saw, miter saw, and drill press
  • Well-versed in the use and maintenance of various hand and power tools used in woodworking
  • Able to read and interpret Metric architectural drawings, shop drawings, cutting bills, and bill of materials
  • Ability to be productive independently or as part of a team working on a large project
  • Practices good housekeeping discipline on the job, which includes daily clean-up, organized tool and material storage, and weekly trash removal, to ensure a safe, non-cluttered workplace
  • Show up to work prior to the scheduled shift to ensure that work begins immediately at the beginning of the work shift to meet tight project delivery dates
  • Ability to work with non-conventional woodworking materials such as metals, plastics, solid surface materials, acrylics, glass, large format titles, and composite materials is not required, but an asset
