Randstad is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Forklift Trainer to join our dynamic team in Etobicoke. In this key role, you will be responsible for training both new and existing employees on safe forklift operation, warehouse management systems, and essential warehouse procedures. We're currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Forklift Training Specialist to join the team in a growing leader in the temperature-controlled warehousing, logistics, and transportation industry. This is a great opportunity to be a key part of our expansion as we welcome a new customer to our Etobicoke location. This is the perfect opportunity for you!

We have 4 roles open for this position, and we're looking for individuals with strong people skills and a genuine commitment to safety.

Position : Training Specialist

Shifts : Day / Night / Afternoon

Salary : $23.75 / hr

Location : Etobicoke

No prior training experience is necessary.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include providing comprehensive training to new employees on site safety, material handling equipment, warehouse management systems, and quality control procedures. You will also conduct ongoing refresher training for existing employees to ensure continuous development and adherence to safety protocols.

Additional duties involve auditing employee performance, generating reports and recommendations, ensuring proper training documentation, and maintaining compliance with all safety regulations. You will actively seek opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and improve safety performance.

In addition to your training duties, you will take the lead in communication strategies to raise awareness and promote understanding of work processes. When not engaged in training, you will assist with warehouse tasks and perform material handling duties as required.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience with material handling equipment

Proficient in operating the following equipment :

  • Counterbalance forklifts
  • Reach trucks
  • Order pickers
  • Pallet jacks
  • Previous training experience is an asset
  • Familiarity with wireless RF systems
  • Knowledge of preferred picking practices
  • Experience working in cold storage environments
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Hands-on experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
  • MHE Trainer (Train the Trainer) certification is preferred or a willingness to obtain
