Job descriptionCompetitive hourly wage Comprehensive benefits plan Enrollment in pension plan Vacation pay & Stat Holiday Pay Family orientated working environment Opportunities for career growth and development Lives Forbes Bros. value of WE WORK SAFE & never compromising on safety in all aspects of our every day Able to follow site plans Able to complete to finish grade Able to load and unload various types of material Help develop work plans for equipment use Ensuring safety and quality is at the forefront of every task Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient way according to all relevant legislation, policies and procedures Perform daily safety and maintenance checks Clean equipment as scheduled and / or required Ensure equipment is safely and securely stored Advise the Foreman of any requirements for maintenance or repairs Participate in routine maintenance Practice workplace safety Ensuring documentation for equipment is up to date as per daily check Assist crew with various work tasks on-site when not operating equipment (Concrete pours, finishing, compaction, form work etc.) Perform other tasks related to this function as assigned Class 1 or Class 3 license with air brakes is required Operators certificate from a licensed service provider 3 to 5 years' experience operating equipment There is a requirement to travel to various project throughout Western Canada. Typical shift structure is 21 days on and 7 days off but can change based on specific project demands. Able and willing to present a Valid Class 1 or Class 3 license with air brakes Driver's License and an acceptable drivers abstract

Taking direction from the foreman or lead hand, this position is responsible for ensuring the safe operation of equipment and daily maintenance checks. The Equipment Operator is responsible for operating equipment in a safe and appropriate manner. Equipment may include :
- Loaders
- Skid Steer with variety of attachments
- Mini excavators
- Backhoe
- Forklift
- And other pieces of equipment.
