Part-Time Household Manager / Nanny Needed for Busy Family in Victoria We are a busy family in Victoria looking for a reliable, organized, and proactive household manager with some childcare responsibilities to help keep our home running smoothly. Both parents work, one in healthcare and one as a first responder on 24 hour shifts on a rotating roster. While there are direct childcare components to the role, this position is primarily focused on household management and family support. We are looking for someone who enjoys creating order in a busy household, can work independently, and takes initiative in helping daily family life function well behind the scenes. We have three boys (ages 7, 5, and 4) and a friendly family dog. Schedule & Hours The role ideally includes: -Monday–Friday mornings approximately 6:45 AM–8:15 AM to help with children’s morning routines -Additional daytime household management hours during shift-work coverage -Some direct childcare during shift days, occasional evenings, and occasional weekends The schedule fluctuates somewhat month to month based on a firefighter shift roster, but schedules will always be provided well in advance. There is room to adapt the above for the right candidate and it may be that requirements fluctuate based on summer/school holidays versus school year. We are looking for approximately 70–80 hours/month total. Primary Responsibilities -Household Management (Majority of Role) -Laundry and folding -Tidying and household organization -Light cleaning/resetting of common spaces -Meal prep and kitchen support -Household inventory/restocking -Pet care/dog walking -Managing the flow of daily household tasks -Helping maintain calm and order in a busy family home Childcare Responsibilities -Helping children get ready for school/preschool -Breakfast preparation -Lunch/snack prep -Assisting with school/daycare drop-offs -Occasional longer childcare coverage or "mothers helper" type assistance during shift-work days About You We are looking for someone who: -Is highly organized and dependable -Enjoys household management and taking initiative -Is comfortable working independently -Has experience with children and family homes -Is warm, calm, and capable in busy environments -Is flexible and adaptable with scheduling -Is comfortable with dogs -Is interested in a longer-term role with our family Requirements -Criminal record check required -Current CPR-C or Standard First Aid (or higher) -References required -Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred -Prior household management, nanny, or family assistant experience strongly preferred Compensation is competitive and based on experience, responsibilities, and flexibility required for the role.
