Job description

Are you a customer service representative looking to advance your career with an industry-leading organization? We are seeking a dedicated Customer Service Representative to join a dynamic, fast-growing team in Mississauga. In this vital role, you will act as a key liaison for business-to-business (B2B) clients within the industrial equipment sector. As a Customer Service Representative, you will handle order intake, manage client communications, source parts, and ensure efficient product delivery.

Working as a Customer Service Representative in the customer care space requires exceptional adaptability, attention to detail, and top-tier order desk skills. You will manage between 25 and 50 client interactions per day in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Whether processing orders, filtering data in Microsoft Excel, or navigating specialized enterprise systems, your contributions directly impact client satisfaction and overall business operations.

If you thrive in an interactive, supportive office environment and enjoy solving problems for industrial equipment customers, this position offers stable, full-time hours (40 hours per week) with flexible morning shift options. As part of our customer care specialization, this position offers fantastic long-term potential, direct mentorship from industry veterans, and opportunities to transition into supervisory, supply chain, or accounting roles.

To succeed as a Customer Service Representative in this customer care role, clear and professional communication skills are essential. While primary day-to-day operations and client interactions are in English, effective collaboration within diverse teams and occasional cross-regional client or vendor communications require strong functional language capabilities. Demonstrating versatility and adaptability in professional communication will support your long-term success in our national customer care network.

Randstad Professional: Find the right job, love what you do, and develop your career. With access to a wide range of roles with top employers, a global community of professional peers, and specialized training and support, we’ll be your guiding partner and help you build a rewarding career.

Advantages
• Competitive annual base salary between $55,000 and $65,000, depending on experience.
• Quarterly branch-based gross profit bonus potential.
• Comprehensive health, dental, and medical benefits plan starting on day one.
• 3 weeks of paid vacation starting in your first year.
• 5% RRSP matching program available after 6 months of continuous employment.
• Full-time, consistent schedule (40 hours/week) with flexible start times between 7:30 AM and 8:30 AM.
• Welcoming, friendly office environment with high employee retention and structured team mentorship.

Responsibilities
• Handle 25 to 50 daily B2B customer care interactions via email, phone, and electronic order systems.
• Accurately process customer orders, enter data into the ERP system, and issue timely price quotes.
• Source products across branch, distribution center, and supplier inventories to meet client specifications.
• Negotiate sales and purchase pricing within approved parameters to maximize profitability.
• Partner with account representatives and vendor networks to manage backorders, expedite shipments, and streamline product logistics.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel to filter spreadsheet data, log client requests, and maintain clean operational records.
• Maintain current knowledge of industrial equipment, pneumatics, hydraulics, or electrical parts to better support client technical needs.
• Participate in comprehensive system training, onboarding, and ongoing mentorship to build strong product expertise.

Qualifications
• 1 to 2+ years of order desk or customer care experience (5+ years in industrial equipment/parts preferred for senior compensation levels).
• Solid understanding of order processing, vendor sourcing, and logistics workflows.
• Proven track record of computer literacy and high adaptability to custom software tools.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Full-time, on-site availability at the Mississauga branch location (5 days per week).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel for data logging, filtering, and analysis.
• Exceptional adaptability and willingness to learn custom Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.
• Strong written, verbal, and active listening communication capabilities in customer care settings.
• Excellent time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Problem-solving aptitude with a strong customer-first orientation.
