Job Summary

This Project Control Officer role supports the Road to Strong (RTS) initiative a mandatory remediation program within a large financial institution's IT delivery environment. The successful candidate will be embedded in a team of approximately 10 people, spending roughly 25% of their day in meetings and collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders. The contractor will not have access to customer data. TD offers a strong work culture, opportunity for long-term engagement and networking, and a portfolio of multi-year projects within this space.

Key Responsibilities

• RAID Log Management Ingestion of Risk/Action/Issue/Decision items; maintain coherency and currency of the RAID log
• Reporting Consolidation and preparation of reporting materials including weekly status reports, ESC materials, and ad-hoc requests
• Interdependency Management Consolidation and tracking of interdependencies across project workstreams as well as outside of the project
• Financial Management Consolidation of monthly cost forecasts, tracking of actual spend, and analysis of variances between forecast and actuals
• Project Change Control Maintain PCR list and action related tasks and activities
• Artifact Management Organize, track, and index required artifacts; log exceptions and exemptions; assist during compliance and delivery assurance reviews
• Schedule Management Track and report on identified tasks, deliverables, and milestones; highlight and escalate slippages for action and attention

Required Skills

• 10+ years of Project Monitoring and Control Activity experience, including Schedule Management, Reporting, RAID Management, and Financial Management (in-depth)
• Large project/program delivery experience
• Strong stakeholder management experience
• Methodology knowledge (PDLC, Agile, Hybrid)
• Knowledge of MS Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Project)
• JIRA, Confluence, Clarity, and SharePoint experience
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
• Strong time management and priority management skills
• Attention to detail; self-starter and adaptable
• Ability to work with ambiguity and limited direction

Preferred Skills

• Banking or financial institution experience
• PMP certification

Required Experience

• Minimum 10 years of overall experience in project monitoring and control activities (flexible with 5+ years for exceptionally strong candidates)

Education Requirements

• Post-secondary education is an asset
• PMP certification is an asset
