Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Windowing Operator to join our production team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining windowing equipment while ensuring product quality, efficiency, and adherence to production schedules. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Locate and load appropriate stock in preparation for production.

  • Prepare machine make-ready, feeder, windowing section, glue system, film feed, delivery, stacker, and packing station.

  • Set up and operate windowing equipment according to customer specifications and standard operating procedures.

  • Feed machinery with raw materials and window film.

  • Monitor production to ensure maximum efficiency, quality, and compliance with specifications.

  • Maintain machinery at optimal operating speeds and quickly identify and resolve machine issues.

  • Ensure timely completion and delivery of production orders.

  • Maintain line clearance procedures to prevent product mix-ups.

  • Identify, segregate, and control non-conforming products according to established procedures.

  • Record production data, including materials processed, setup times, and production output.

  • Move materials and finished products using hand trucks or industrial equipment as required.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

  • Add required chemicals or solutions to machinery as part of the manufacturing process.

  • Perform troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and minor repairs.

  • Supervise and support team members working on the machine.

  • Train coworkers on machine setup, operation, and equipment use.

  • Provide technical expertise to support new product development and process improvements.

  • Follow all company policies, standard operating procedures, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of experience operating tray forming or windowing machinery in a manufacturing environment.

  • Basic computer skills.

  • Strong mathematical and time-management abilities.

  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a production setting.

  • Strong problem-solving and mechanical aptitude.

  • Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented.

  • Ability to interpret instructions provided in written, oral, or diagram form.

  • Must possess and wear approved safety shoes.

Physical Requirements
  • Regular lifting up to 20 lbs.; occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and squat for extended periods throughout the workday.

  • Good vision (corrected or uncorrected) with strong attention to detail.

  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and ability to perform repetitive motions.

Preferred Skills
  • Experience with folding carton, packaging, printing, or converting operations.

  • Knowledge of machine setup, troubleshooting, and quality control processes.

  • Strong commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement initiatives.
