Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-conscious Railcar Loader to join our team. As a Railcar Loader, you will play a crucial role in our transportation operations, ensuring the safe and efficient loading and unloading of railcars.
- Conduct thorough visual inspections of railcars to ensure mechanical soundness and identify any defects prior to loading or unloading.
- Prepare railcars for loading by opening manways and installing appropriate loading arms or hoses.
- Load specific products into railcars using loading manifests, accurately measuring and recording volumes and temperatures.
- Secure railcars for shipping according to Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) standards.
- Complete and maintain accurate documentation, including checklists and manifests.
- Work collaboratively in a team setting, both at ground level and on elevated railcar loading racks.
- Adhere to and promote a behavioral-based safety system to achieve zero-loss goals.
- Perform duties in various weather conditions and during rotating shifts, including days and nights.
