The Opportunity: Control-M Administrator (Principal Consultant)

We are inviting applications for the role of Principal Consultant, APS-Control M. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of Control-M administration, providing technical guidance to junior administrators, and ensuring the stability and performance of complex batch processing environments. You will be a key player in handling escalated incidents, performing root cause analysis, and driving continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

· Administration & Support: Perform configuration, implementation, and support of complex Control-M batch streams on versions 9.20 and 9.21.

· Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior (L1) Control-M administrators.

· Incident & Problem Management: Handle escalated incidents, perform root cause analysis for P1/P2/P3/P4 incidents, and ensure resolution in line with ITIL frameworks.

· Environment Management: Oversee Control-M architecture, including installation, configuration, disaster recovery, and migration activities.

· Quality Assurance: Test changes to the Control-M environment and ensure quality standards are met in all releases.

· Collaboration: Work with internal teams and third parties for change implementation and issue resolution.

· Service Delivery: Ensure all service performance expectations meet defined service levels and quality standards.

· Compliance: Follow all policies and procedures for incident, problem, and change management.

What You Bring (Qualifications)

Minimum Qualifications:

· Graduate or Postgraduate in Technology with a focus on Computers, Information Technology (IT), Computer Science, or Systems Engineering.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

· Core Technical Expertise:

· Control-M: Deep knowledge of Control-M architecture, installation, configuration, and disaster recovery procedures, specifically with v9.20 and v9.21.

· Operating Systems: Proficiency with Linux OS fundamentals and Windows Server (2016/2019/2022).

· Databases: Knowledge of Oracle, Sybase, and SQL Database architecture.

· Components: Hands-on experience with Control-M Agents, Advanced File Transfer (AFT), Managed File Transfer (MFT), Automation API, Configuration Manager, and Forecast Server.

· Environment Management: Expertise in calendar/folder/job creation, updates, ordering, job conditions, quantitative resources, security, and import/export procedures.

· Automation: Experience with Control-M Automation API and job loader.

· Experience & Process Knowledge:

· 7+ to 10 years of experience in Control-M administration, working with multiple Control-M releases and migrations.

· Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

· Solid understanding of ITIL processes, including integration across Incident, Problem, and Change Management (IPC).

· Experience working with BMC support on Level 4 issues.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills; capable of working under minimal supervision.

· Preferred Domain & Tools:

· Capital Markets domain knowledge is a plus.

· Familiarity with other products like CFT, Connect Direct, MQ Series, and Secure Transport is highly preferred.

· Strong interpersonal skills with a high-energy, results-driven approach.
