Job description

Hardscape Foreman - Landscape Construction

M. Davis Landscape & Design Inc. is seeking a full-time Hardscape Foreman with residential and commercial experience. Join one of the largest landscape companies in Ottawa and Eastern Ontario and grow your career in a supportive, fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a supervisory role
  • Strong knowledge of hard landscaping
  • Proven ability to manage projects from planning to completion
  • Experience operating skid steer, excavator, backhoe, and loader
  • Ability to read civil, architectural, and landscape drawings
  • Valid Class G license with driver’s abstract and reliable transportation
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Landscape diploma/certificate considered an asset

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, train, and lead a crew of 3+ staff and operators
  • Coordinate all aspects of job sites, including materials, equipment, and subcontractors
  • Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and to Canadian Landscape Standards
  • Maintain daily electronic logs, time sheets, and project records
  • Perform and oversee landscape construction and maintenance tasks as needed
  • Operate equipment safely and conduct pre-use inspections
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety policies and procedures

  • Competitive wages ($27-$32 per hour, based on experience)
