Job description
Position: Senior Manager, Inventory Accounting

Responsibilities
- Financial Management: Oversight of the full inventory cycle (month-end close, provisions, margins, and markdowns) and management of vendor rebates.
- Analysis & Reporting: Production of monthly forecasts and optimization of Power BI dashboards (KPIs, inventory turnover, and aging).
- Network Control: Direction of annual physical inventory counts for the store network and detailed analysis of inventory shrinkage/shortages.
- Audit & Compliance: Responsible for NI 52-109 compliance, maintaining documentation (Workiva), and supporting internal and external audits.
- Insurance: Management of inventory loss claims and submission of inventory valuations for insurance renewals.
- Leadership: Coaching and professional development of a team of 5 analysts.

Qualifications
- Education & Designation: University degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA designation is a strong asset.
- Experience: 10+ years of relevant experience, including specialized inventory management and team leadership.
- Systems: Proficiency in an ERP (SAP preferred), advanced Excel skills, and experience with Power BI (asset).
- Technical Expertise: Solid knowledge of IFRS standards and the ability to perform complex analysis in a high-volume data environment.
- Core Competencies: Excellent organizational skills and the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of the hierarchy.
- Bilingualism: Proficiency in both French and English (oral and written) is essential for collaborating with national teams across Canada.
