Python / React Developer (Hybrid, Montreal)

We are seeking a Python / React Developer to join an investment bank in Montreal. The role involves building and maintaining web applications that support trading desk managers and comply with regulatory recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

Understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements.
Participate in the maintenance (support and development) of current tools, adhering to CACIB standards : CI / CD and unit testing.
Develop web tools using React, Python, ELK Stack, and SQL.
Collaborate within an Agile team and with product owners.
Maintain strong relationships with all departments and end‑users.

Requirements

Experience with relational databases (e.g., MS SQL).

Good knowledge of version control systems (GitHub or GitLab) and issue tracking (JIRA for Scrum boards).

Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.

Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team‑oriented, fast‑paced environment.

Other Requirements

Fluency in English; French is a plus.

3–5 years of experience or more.
