Description

Skilled DevOps Engineer with strong expertise in Terraform and cloud automation. While deep GCP architectural expertise is not required, the ideal candidate should have moderate hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform and be comfortable supporting cloud deployments, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code workflows. This role will work closely with Cloud Architects and Technical Leads who will provide advanced GCP guidance.

Required Skills & Experience

Strong hands-on experience with Terraform (modules, state management, workspaces, IaC patterns).
Solid understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tooling.
Moderate experience with Google Cloud Platform (enough to deploy, configure, and support workloads).
Familiarity with Git‑based workflows and version control best practices.
Ability to troubleshoot infrastructure and deployment issues in a cloud environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, GKE).
Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Bash, Go).
Exposure to monitoring and logging tools (Stackdriver, Prometheus, Grafana).
Certifications such as Google Associate Cloud Engineer or Terraform Associate are a plus.

Deliverables

Infrastructure as Code (Primary Focus)

Design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure using Terraform as the primary IaC tool.
Develop reusable Terraform modules and enforce IaC best practices.
Support multi-environment deployments and version controlled infrastructure workflows.

DevOps & Automation

Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using industry standard tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, Cloud Build).
Automate operational tasks, deployments, and environment provisioning.
Improve reliability, scalability, and efficiency through automation and tooling.

GCP Cloud Support

Work with GCP services such as Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, IAM, VPC, Cloud Run, and Cloud SQL at a practical, hands-on level.
Collaborate with Cloud Architects on solution design, security, and best practices.
Assist in troubleshooting cloud infrastructure issues and supporting deployments.

Collaboration & Delivery

Partner with development, architecture, and operations teams to support cloud native delivery.
Contribute to documentation, standards, and process improvements.
Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and DevOps ceremonies.
