Job description
Are you a hospitality professional looking to transition your elite customer service skills into a dynamic corporate environment? We are looking for a Facilities & Workplace Experience Assistant to join a world-leading outdoor apparel and design organization in North Vancouver. As a global leader in talent solutions, Randstad connects passionate individuals with employers who value culture and innovation. Our recruiters are experts in the business administration field and are dedicated to helping you find a role that aligns with your lifestyle and professional ambitions.

In this 12-month contract role, you will be the heart of the "Design Center," acting as the primary point of contact for employees and global guests. This isn't your typical desk job; as a Facilities & Workplace Experience Assistant, you will be on the move, ensuring the physical workspace reflects the brand's commitment to excellence. Whether you are welcoming an international design team or coordinating with local contractors, your focus will always be on building strong, cross-functional relationships and fostering an environment where engagement thrives.

You will be expected to communicate daily with internal stakeholders, external partners, and guests who rely on clear, professional verbal and written English to ensure seamless operations and safety within the facilities.

As a member of the business administration community, you will find that this role offers a unique blend of office management and guest services. This position is perfect for a self-starter who thrives in a social, fast-paced atmosphere and isn't afraid to take initiative. If you are passionate about the outdoors and want to work for a company that "lives" its brand, this Facilities & Workplace Experience Assistant role is your next great career move.

Advantages
• Competitive annual salary of $57,000 ($27.40 per hour).
• 12-month contract with a high potential for permanent conversion based on performance and headcount.
• Opportunity to work for a global leader in the outdoor apparel industry within a world-class Design Center.
• Flexible Monday to Friday schedule (typically 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM or 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM).
• Comprehensive 4-day "Base Camp" onboarding program to immerse you in the company’s business and culture.
• Supportive, eclectic team environment with a focus on professional well-being and growth.
• On-site work environment that keeps you active and engaged throughout the day.

Responsibilities
• Act as the primary face of the organization, greeting and welcoming guests at the North Vancouver reception desk.
• Ensure an exceptional guest and staff experience by maintaining a high-energy, welcoming, and organized environment.
• Process service requests promptly, supporting various departments across the business administration and design spectrum.
• Coordinate, order, and maintain all office supplies and inventory to ensure zero downtime for the teams.
• Conduct daily rounds of common spaces, meeting rooms, and kitchens to ensure they are functional, stocked, and meet brand standards.
• Provide hands-on support for event setups and key business meetings, ensuring all technical and logistical needs are met.
• Collaborate with Talent Acquisition and Executive Assistants to prepare for scheduled guest arrivals and candidate interviews.
• Identify opportunities for continuous process improvement to evolve the workplace experience.
• Actively contribute to a team culture of safety, reliability, and disruptive evolution.

Qualifications
Skills
• Exceptional customer service and hospitality mindset (experience in retail or restaurant environments is highly valued).
• Strong relationship-building capabilities with the ability to navigate various personality types and departments.
• High level of attention to detail and a proactive "eye" for facility upkeep.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
• Ability to remain organized and multitask effectively during "peak seasons" and high-traffic milestones.
• Tech-savvy with a willingness to learn workplace management platforms (such as Office Space).
• Collaborative working style with a focus on community and team success.

Requirements
• 1+ year of experience in a customer service-focused role (Hospitality, Retail, or Restaurant experience preferred).
• A self-starter attitude with the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.
• Passion for the outdoors and a commitment to "doing what is right," even when it isn't the easiest path.
• Ability to be physically present on-site at the North Vancouver location daily.
• High level of professional integrity and reliability.
• Proven ability to adapt to new technology and evolving business processes.

Summary
