We areseekinga highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our team and develop,maintain, and enhance robust solutions involving backend, front end, and API components. This is a hands-on role, focused on delivering high-quality solutions using Spring Boot, Java,as well as designing, developing, and enhancing existingweb apps. The ideal candidate has deep technicalexpertise, a collaborative spirit, and experience working with Azure/multi-cloud environments.

Customer

• Design, develop, andmaintainend-to-end solutions across backend (Java/Spring Boot) and RESTful APIs.

• Architect and deliver scalable applications and services, ensuring performance, security, and maintainability.

• Collaborate with technology partners and business stakeholders to ensure solutions meet requirements, technical direction, and business goals.

• Develop new features, perform unit/component testing, and provide technical leadership in implementing and integrating backend and API solutions.

• Analyze requirements and propose pragmatic solutions, using sound engineering judgment and aligning to best practices and architecture standards.

• Ensure Azure cloud deployment, EDP pipeline usage, and automation tooling are seamlessly integrated into the development process.

• Provide technical support during incident management,assistwith troubleshooting, debugging, and root cause analysis across the stack.

• Document and verify system components, design technical specifications, andmaintaindetailed documentation for APIs, infrastructure, and business logic.

• Support innovation by quickly prototyping (POC)new technologiesand frameworks whenrequired.

• Participate in code reviews to ensure maintainability, security, and operational readiness of delivered solutions.

• Monitor service and productivity levels, implement performance improvements where opportunities exist.

• Manage resource requirements andassignments, ensuring project milestones are met and monitoring to keep projects on schedule and within budget

• Protect the interests of the organization –identifyand manage risks, and escalate non-standard,high-risktransactions / activities as necessary

• Maintain a culture of risk management and control, supported by effective processes in alignment with risk appetite

Breadth & Depth

• Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience with backend frameworks (Spring Bootand related libraries), languages (Java,JavaScript), and cloud (Microsoft Azure, EDP pipelines).

• Familiarity withUIframeworks (Bootstrap,Angular, React) and integration with backend APIs.

• Experience designing and programming relational databases(Azure SQL, Oracle OCAC).

• Proficiencywith build and automation tools (Maven), caching (REDIS), and Linux environments.

• Demonstrated experience developing,maintaining, and enhancing RESTful APIs.

• Ability to quickly proof-of-concept (POC)new technologiesand approaches.

• Support and take ownership of application deployment and verification.

Qualifications and Experience

• 5+ years of experience deliveringenterprise‑gradeapplications using Java/J2EE, with a strong focus on backend, API, andfull‑stackdevelopment.

• 3+ years ofhands‑onexperience building applications with Spring, Spring Boot, Spring Test, and Hibernate, including RESTful API design, scalability, performance, and security.

• Experienceusing HTML, CSS,Bootstrap,JavaScript, and modern UI frameworks such as Angular.

• Experience designing andmaintainingrelational databases, including complex SQL, stored procedures, and performance optimization in Azure SQL and Oracle.

• Experience with distributed caching technologies (e.g., REDIS) to improve performance and scalability.

• Hands‑onexperience withapplication securityandvulnerability managementincluding tools such as SonarQube and Veracode.

• Experience deploying and supporting applications in Microsoft Azure, using CI/CD pipelines, and owning deployment verification and production readiness.

• Strong experience working in Agile/Scrum teams, delivering clean, modular, testable, and maintainable code.

• Experience with modern development and collaboration tools, including GitHub, Maven, IntelliJ IDEA/Visual Studio/Eclipse, JIRA, and Confluence.

• Demonstrated ability to analyze requirements, troubleshoot complex issues across the stack, and deliverhigh‑quality, pragmatic solutions

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with Agile delivery and collaboration tools such as JIRA,JTMFand Confluence.

• Exposure toAI‑assisteddevelopment tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) to improve developer productivity and code quality.

• Working knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure and/or AWS, and CI/CD tools including Jenkins.

• Understanding ofsecure application development practices, including static code analysis and vulnerability scanning tools.

• Knowledge of web protocols and standards, including HTTP/HTTPS, REST principles, and OAuth2/OpenID Connect (OIDC).
