Job Description

We are currently recruiting for an NDT Inspector II (Radiography) to join our team. This role is responsible for performing radiographic testing (conventional film and digital), interpreting NDE specifications, and conducting visual and dimensional inspections using precision instruments. The hours will typically be Monday to Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm.

Base wage: $30.00 - $39.00 / hour
Typical Duties Include (but are not limited to):
  • Radiographic testing (RT) - X-Ray Conventional Film and Digital
  • Interpretation of NDE specifications
  • Disposition of materials in writing
  • Visual, non-destructive and dimensional inspections (vernier calipers, height gauges, dial indicators etc.)
  • Quality assurance testing and reporting
  • Tracking material status
  • Performing other testing requirements during various states of the repair process
  • Working to defined standards and methodologies
  • Applying test criteria
  • Support in developing NDT procedures

Key Skill Requirements:

  • Excellent visual accuracy skills
  • Strong Inter-personal and inter-departmental communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment
  • Understanding of engineering specifications, drawings and written reports
  • Problem solving skills
  • Ability to effectively follow health & safety and quality processes and policies

Key Experience/Education:

  • Graduate of a 2 year college level program in Technology – NDE or similar program an asset
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in NDE is required
  • Level II Certification (CGSB, ASNT or equivalent) is required or sufficient background enabling the attainment of certification required (NAS410 qualification accepted)
  • Interest/experience in the nuclear or aerospace industry preferred
  • Familiarity with ISO/AS quality systems are an asset
  • Qualification in other NDT methods is an asset
