Resident Inspector
AECOMKitchener, Ontario, Canada- Full-time
AECOM is searching for a Resident Inspector on one or more municipal infrastructure projects. This new position is based in Kitchener ON. Projects primarily consist of road reconstructions land development water and wastewater treatment plants water distribution sanitary and storm pipelines and water resources. Project assignments can be around the Waterloo Region.
The responsibilities include but are not limited to :
- Liaison on site with contractor client other approving authorities including addressing resident concerns
- Oversee daily on-site operations
- Work closely with the Project Engineer and Project Manager to ensure construction is in compliance with project specifications
- Preparation and maintenance of daily work logs and other project documentation and reporting;
- Schedule and conduct regular project meetings with the contractor and client
- Provide clarification of drawings and direction to the contractor with remote support from the Project Engineer
- Responsible for monitoring conformance to quality performance specifications and / or code requirements by performing inspection duties.
- Carry out surveys and measurements for quantity calculations
- Complete surveys for the preparation of record drawings
- Participates in punch lists testing and commissioning.
- Assist with the preparation of the Project Construction Completion and Final Acceptance Certificate; and
- Training of entry-level employees.
