Job Title: Quality Inspector - AftJob Description

We are seeking a Quality Inspector who will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality standards in our manufacturing processes. This position requires performing receiving inspections, in-process, and final inspection tasks on all switches and part orders being shipped. You will also be responsible for conducting internal process and quality system audits, applying sound judgment in quality-related decisions, and participating in customer inspections when needed.

Responsibilities
  • Perform receiving inspection as required.
  • Conduct in-process and final inspection tasks on all switches and part orders being shipped.
  • Conduct internal process and quality system audits and report findings.
  • Apply sound judgment in making quality-related decisions and problem-solving.
  • Exercise the authority to shut down non-conforming processes after proper notification.
  • Communicate drawing discrepancies to Engineering.
  • Participate in customer inspections as needed.
  • Create and assist team members in writing and entering Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
  • Assist in the evaluation of non-conforming components, including conducting dimensional analysis to help identify potential issues.
  • Write Corrective Action Requests (CAR) and Continuous Improvement Initiatives (CIIs) for audits.
  • Report violations of ISO Standards to the Quality Manager.
  • Participate in the prototype review process for newly developed products.
  • Review supplier documentation, including dimensional analysis, certifications, and Statistical Process Control (SPC) data.
  • Develop and maintain necessary documentation and assist in the control of documentation.
  • Engage regularly in communication and cooperation with cross-functional teams to meet quality standards and shipment deadlines.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
  • Minimum of 3 years in a quality control/QC position.
  • Quality credentials, schooling, and relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in computer and inventory control.
  • Mechanical and electrical knowledge, especially in electrical switches.
  • Quality certifications, such as ASQ.
  • Ability to read blueprints and wiring diagrams.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with electrical/mechanical products.
  • Schooling in a relevant field.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement.

Work Environment

The position is initially on a day shift from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM until the afternoon shift begins. Once transitioned, the shift will be from 3:15 PM to 11:45 PM. Enjoy a wage of $22.00 plus a $1.00 premium for afternoon shifts.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brampton, ON.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00/hr.
