Job Title: Quality Inspector - Aft

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing various inspection tasks, conducting audits, and ensuring compliance with quality standards. This role requires excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform receiving inspections as required.
• Conduct in-process and final inspection tasks on all switches and part orders being shipped.
• Perform internal process and quality system audits, reporting all findings.
• Exercise authority to shut down non-conforming processes after notifying the appropriate personnel.
• Communicate drawing discrepancies to the Engineering team.
• Participate in customer inspections as needed.
• Create and assist team members in writing and entering Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
• Evaluate non-conforming components, including conducting dimensional analysis and material sorting.
• Write Corrective Action Requests (CAR) and Continuous Improvement Initiatives (CII) for audits.
• Report violations of ISO Standards to the Quality Manager.
• Participate in the prototype review process for newly developed products.
• Review supplier documentation, including dimensional analysis and certifications.
• Develop and maintain necessary documentation and assist in documentation control.
• Engage in communication and cooperation with cross-functional teams to meet quality standards and shipment deadlines.
• Other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

• 3+ years of experience in a quality control position.
• Knowledge of manufacturing, mechanical, and electrical processes.
• Experience with inventory control and computer systems.
• Quality credentials and certifications.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and wiring diagrams.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Familiarity with electrical and mechanical products.
• Continuous improvement mindset.
• Schooling in relevant fields is advantageous.

Work Environment

This position is for the afternoon shift, running from 3:15 PM to 11:45 PM, with a $1.00 premium on top of the base wage. Initially, the candidate will work from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM until the afternoon shift is established. Our workplace is busy and fast-paced, providing a stimulating environment for those who thrive under pressure.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brampton, ON.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $25.00/hr.
