Job descriptionBachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Minimum 35 years of relevant experience in circuit design and high-voltage systems. Proficient in PCB layout and design tools (Altium, KiCad, or equivalent). Strong understanding of analog and digital electronics. Excellent problem-solving, hands-on testing, and debugging skills. Familiarity with embedded systems and microcontrollers is an asset. Experience working in a manufacturing, R&D, or start-up environment preferred. $80,000-$100,000 annual salary, depending on experience. Health & Dental benefits. 3 weeks paid vacation. About the Role :
Vitacore is seeking a highly skilled and innovative Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role will be instrumental in supporting the design, testing, and implementation of high-performance electronics and energy systems. You will play a key part in developing and refining electrical systems that interface with large high-voltage capacitors and support advanced printed circuit board (PCB) development.
This position is ideal for an individual who is passionate about hands-on prototyping, building novel hardware solutions, and working in a fast-paced R&D environment.
Responsibilities include :
- Design, simulate, and test circuits involving high-voltage capacitors and energy storage systems.
- Develop and optimize multilayer PCB designs using industry-standard software (e.g., Altium Designer, KiCad).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on electronics integration, prototyping, and system debugging.
- Conduct risk assessments, thermal and safety analyses related to high-voltage systems.
- Generate detailed documentation including schematics, layout files, BOMs, and test plans.
- Support rapid iteration of hardware designs and prototype builds.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and safety standards (CSA, UL, CE as applicable).
