Reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Technician will be responsible for upholding the operational standards of a prominent multi-unit property portfolio in Downtown Victoria. The successful candidate will possess a versatile technical skill set—with a strong emphasis on professional painting and suite turn-over preparation—alongside excellent tenant-facing customer service skills.

ResponsibilitiesPainting & Suite Turnovers
-Execute professional painting of units upon turnover, including patching, priming, and painting walls and ceilings.
-Complete interior and exterior touch-ups throughout common areas, hallways, and lobbies.
-Partner with onsite management to ensure turnover suites are ready for new occupants on schedule.
General Maintenance & Inspections:
-Conduct daily routine inspections of buildings, grounds, and mechanical/electrical equipment.
-Perform preventative maintenance tasks and address minor plumbing and finishing repairs (e.g., caulking, drains, cabinet adjustments).
- Assess more complex mechanical or electrical issues to report them accurately and coordinate with specialized external contractors as required.
Operations & Administration:
-Maintain accurate daily logs, including work orders, incident reports, and material requisitions.
-Manage daily maintenance schedules, task lists, and material/supply ordering.
-Ensure strict adherence to safe work practices and occupational health and safety guidelines at all times.
Qualifications-Proven experience as a Painter or Maintenance Technician within residential or commercial property environments.
-Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with residents, onsite staff, and external trades.
-General familiarity with local tenancy guidelines, building safety standards, and safe work practices.
- Self-motivated and organized, with the ability to troubleshoot issues and manage multiple daily priorities independently.
- Ability to comfortably lift and move up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to work a consistent Tuesday to Saturday shift.
