About Magic Mountain

Magic Mountain Child Development Centre is a distinguished early learning institution serving children from 12 months through kindergarten. We provide comprehensive daycare, preschool, and before- and after-school programs within state-of-the-art facilities designed to cultivate an inclusive, stimulating, and active environment.


Our inquiry-based curriculum fosters curiosity, creativity, and confidence, while emphasizing physical literacy and holistic child development. Carefully designed indoor and outdoor play spaces ensure children remain engaged and active throughout the year, including during Alberta’s harshest weather.


We maintain strong collaborative partnerships with families to support each child’s growth and prepare them for sustained success.


About the Role

We are seeking multiple childcare Educators (permanent and Mat leave coverage) for following programs:

  • Kindergarten
  • Preschool

at our Sierra Springs Magic Mountain locations in Airdrie. We are looking for someone who possess a strong understanding of child development, exceptional engagement skills, and a dedication to fostering positive relationships with both children and colleagues. The ideal candidates will be dependable, adaptable, fluent in English, and exhibit outstanding communication and multitasking abilities. Prior experience is advantageous, and candidates must possess Alberta Child Care certification levels 1, 2, or 3, along with current criminal record check (with vulnerable sector search) and first aid certification.


What you'll do

  • Implementing engaging programming tailored to the interests and needs of the children.
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety within the environment.
  • Leading and supporting children in integrated learning and recreational activities.
  • Actively supervising and engaging with children while ensuring their well-being.
  • Assisting in providing regular communication to parents.
  • Cultivating positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Participating in professional development initiatives.
  • Adhering to Alberta Early Learning and Child Care Regulations and Active Start's policies and procedures to ensure quality care.

Qualifications

  • Prior childcare/daycare experience is a must
  • Level 1, 2 or 3 Child Care Certification is required
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Professional, adaptable, and fluent in English
  • Proficiency in computer applications and administrative systems
  • Knowledge of Alberta Child Care Licensing Regulations (preferred)
  • Current Criminal Record Check and First Aid Certification (or willingness
