Technical Services Manager

Are you a proven leader in underground gold mining? Our client, a high-grade gold development company, is seeking a Technical Services Manager to drive excellence in their operations within one of Canada’s most renowned mining regions.

About the Role

The Technical Services Manager will lead a team of dedicated professionals in geology, mine planning, and engineering, ensuring the seamless operation of an underground gold mine. This position is critical to achieving the company’s production and growth targets while maintaining the highest standards in safety and environmental stewardship.

Roster : FIFO options available (schedule TBC or Relocation Support Available).

Key Responsibilities

Manage and oversee all technical services functions, including mine planning, design, geology, and survey.
Develop and implement short-term and long-term underground mine plans aligned with production goals.
Ensure robust grade control practices and accurate geological models to maximize ore recovery.
Provide strategic direction to geotechnical and ventilation engineering efforts.
Monitor and optimize underground mining methods, systems, and equipment performance.
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Lead and mentor a high-performing technical services team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering.

A minimum of 10 years of underground mining experience, with at least 5 years in technical services leadership roles.

Strong expertise in underground gold mining operations, methods, and challenges.

Proficiency in mine planning and geological software such as Deswik, Datamine, or similar.

Proven ability to manage technical teams, budgets, and deliverables in a fast-paced mining environment.

Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or eligibility is strongly preferred.
