Job description

Our client, is seeking an experienced, executive-level Senior Director, Global Delivery Lead - Data Retention to establish and lead the Program Management Office (PMO) for an enterprise-wide Global Data Retention Management Program.

In this high-visibility strategic leadership role, you will be accountable for turning a complex cross-enterprise mandate into an executable roadmap, robust governance framework, transparent executive reporting, and measurable risk reduction outcomes. Operating in a global, federated delivery model, you will coordinate multi-disciplinary efforts to identify, secure, classify, and remediate over-retained structured and unstructured data across business units and geographies. You will lead multiple project managers, workstream leads, and external systems integrators while serving as a trusted advisor to Business Group CIOs, VPs, SVPs, and risk/compliance executives.


Duration: 13-Month Contract (11/02/2026 to 11/30/2027; extension or FTE conversion potential based on program continuation and business needs)

Work Arrangement: Hybrid (Limited on-site presence required, typically 1 to 2 days per month)

Work Hours: Standard business hours (Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. or 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.), with occasional flexibility required for global stakeholder alignment across time zones.

Responsibilities
Integrated Program Leadership: Own integrated delivery across discovery, planning, risk-tiering, execution, and transition to sustainable business-as-usual (BAU) operational controls.

PMO Establishment & Governance: Establish and operate the Program Management Office (PMO), including integrated roadmaps, master schedules, steering committees, and working-team forums with clear decision rights and escalation paths.

Federated Workstream Oversight: Lead multiple project managers, workstream leads, internal delivery teams, and external consulting partners across data inventory, security controls, classification, retention, and disposition tracks.

Executive Communication & Reporting: Develop precision executive communication models covering progress, milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, decisions, capacity, and financial oversight for C-suite and audit review.

Vendor & SI Governance: Manage external consulting firms and systems integrators, ensuring scope alignment, commercial performance, deliverable quality, and structured knowledge transfer.

Risk & Stakeholder Management: Build alignment across Business Group CIOs, Risk, Legal, Privacy, Cybersecurity, and Records Management teams to resolve bottlenecks and drive timely decisions.



Qualifications
Enterprise Program Leadership: 10+ years of progressive experience leading large, complex enterprise programs, including global or multi-business transformations.

PMO Mastery: Proven track record building and operating a large-scale Program Management Office (PMO) managing multiple project managers, cross-functional workstreams, and senior executive sponsors.

Domain Expertise: Demonstrated experience delivering programs in data governance, data management, records and information management, cybersecurity, privacy, regulatory remediation, or technology risk.

Data Lifecycle Knowledge: Solid understanding of structured and unstructured data environments, data classification, retention schedules, data disposition, and information security controls.

Governance & Financial Control: Strong command of integrated planning, dependency management, RAID logs, resource management, financial oversight, and audit-ready delivery evidence.

Federated Delivery Model: Experience leading federated global delivery models where central standards support execution by regional or business-unit teams.

Vendor Management: Proven background managing strategy consulting firms and systems integrators in outcome-based engagements.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).

Preferred Assets & Nice-to-Haves
Experience within Financial Services, Insurance, or other highly regulated enterprise industries.

Formal Program or Project Management Certifications (e.g., PgMP, PMP).

Experience with operating-model design, change enablement, and hybrid Agile/Waterfall delivery frameworks.
