Who are you?

Mining Plus has an exciting opportunity for a Principal Mining professional with demonstrated expertise in underground projects to lead a diversified and powerful engineering capability in North America. As a Principal Mining Consultant, you are responsible for providing premium consulting services to our clients. You will apply your expert Mining Engineering experience to provide recommendations to Mining Plus clients and projects across a variety of metal commodities. You will have the opportunity to work with our international team of technical experts servicing projects globally. The successful candidate will also consult on interesting and important projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing involvement in mining studies (Scoping, Pre-feasibility & Feasibility)
• Conduct mine asset due diligence and evaluations
• Conduct mine planning, optimization projects and mine economic modelling
• Lead mine design activities and mine services engineering
• Write and review technical engineering Reports (NI 43-101 or equivalent)
• Support mining engineers on, or lead yourself, projects requiring technical solutions
• Oversight of technical quality, and delivery of projects including design, review and project management according to client-approved scopes of work
• Be a champion for practical mining solutions for projects and operations, leveraging our existing foundation of global best practices (fit for the project)
• Lead and manage multi-disciplinary project teams, work with professionals to deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget
• Actively mentor and develop staff in your team, in the interests of their long-term career objectives and operational needs
• Manage contractors and sub-consultants on projects (as required)
