Job description

General Responsibility:
To stamp and assemble parts for sub-assemblies and finished parts for both inside and outside of the plant. Maintain customer quality requirements and specifications, while continually improving process (CIP).

Specific Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and encourage a safe working environment and good housekeeping.
  • Must adhere to all safety Policies and Procedures and report all Safety Hazards or accidents to the team leader.
  • Responsible for part quality and final inspection. Accurately complete all related paperwork.
  • Work in an efficient and safe manner to ensure high productivity, good quality, and improved profits.
  • Ensure accurate scrap and production reporting and any other reporting as deemed necessary and approved.
  • Responsible for production-related identification - C.C., WIP, R.M., REJECT SAMPLES.
  • Must follow inspection plans, routings, setup sheets, work orders, kanban system, quality awareness boards.
  • Some material handling may be required (i.e., pump truck, lift truck - starting or loading of coils) as well as lifting, pulling, pushing, bending, stretching, sitting, standing inside and outside in various temperatures. Lifting up to 50lbs at times.

  • Play an active role in determining and assisting in the implementation of continuous improvement ideas involving throughput and quality. Participate in team meetings and cross-functional improvement teams.
  • Responsible for the accuracy of counts for all production ( may be required to verify quantities by weight).
  • Responsible for reporting all known errors to the Team Leader or Production Manager for corrective actions or guidance.
  • Adhere to ISO/QS 9000 & TS16949 procedures.
  • Work as a Team Member in all situations.
  • Associate adheres to all Management Systems, i.e., Quality, Health & Safety, and Environmental.
  • Responsible for continually upgrading knowledge and skills to ensure DBG's competitive advantage.
  • Responsible for ensuring the profitability of the assigned zone.

Experience Required:
  • 2 Years in Metal Stamping.
