Job description

Job Description

RBCx pursues big, bold ideas and leverages RBC’s extensive experience, networks, and capital to help shape what’s next. Our four pillars – Banking, Capital, Platform, and Ventures – combine to support tech businesses of all sizes and stages, making us the go-to backer of Canadian innovation. Our people are our most valuable assets, so we invest deeply in ensuring RBCx isn’t just a place to work but a place to belong.

About Dr.Bill

Dr.Bill is the largest dedicated medical billing provider in Canada, serving 11,000+ physicians and healthcare professionals in Ontario, British Columbia and Alberta. Fully owned by RBC, Dr.Bill is part of the RBCx portfolio. That makes working at Dr.Bill the best of both worlds: our people enjoy the benefits of working for a big company plus the speed and energy of working for a scaling venture.

Dr.Bill doesn’t exist just to facilitate faster, more accurate medical billing for doctors (although we do that very well indeed!). Our greater goal is to improve the lives of Canada’s hardworking doctors—freeing them to spend more time focused on their patients and personal lives. It is our sincere belief that by modernizing healthcare technology like medical billing, we can improve the lives of doctors, thereby improving quality of care for patients, ultimately helping to create a healthier Canada.

About this role

Dr.Bill is looking to hire a Content Marketing Manager who will be responsible for fostering audience engagement, strengthening brand affinity, and driving demand by positioning Dr.Bill as a trusted leader in the Canadian healthcare system.

As a core member of the Dr.Bill marketing team, you will craft and execute strategies that educate and inspire our audience, showcasing how Dr.Bill supports the unique needs of Canadian healthcare providers.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Own the planning and execution of Dr.Bill’s content strategy across multiple channels and formats, including but not limited to blogs, articles, newsletters, whitepapers, thought leadership pieces, videos, and website content.
  • Maintain a tactical editorial calendar, ensuring alignment with roadmaps and business priorities, and identify themes based on insights and seasonality.
  • Oversee content creation, including writing briefs, updating existing content, and individually creating content when needed.
  • Optimize existing content for performance, working cross-functionally to audit and deploy content for CRO, SEO, and AEO improvements.
  • Manage content projects to ensure timely delivery and resource allocation.
  • Partner with Sales and Marketing teams to create content that supports pipeline generation and new customer acquisition.
  • Define success metrics for content initiatives; continually analyze and report on the success of content initiatives, using data to drive decision making.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholder groups within RBC to uncover content opportunities that drive overall enterprise value.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?

Must have:

  • 5+ years of marketing experience, primarily focused on content creation and distribution
  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills
  • Proficiency in content management systems (eg, WordPress, etc)
  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of SEO/AEO best practices
  • Analytical skills to measure content performance and optimize strategies
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • A highly collaborative growth mindset and experience working cross functionally with Sales, Marketing and Customer teams to drive collective business impact

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience working within large, matrixed organizations
  • Existing knowledge of Canadian healthcare system

What’s in it for you?

We thrive on the challenge to be our best, progressive thinking to keep growing, and working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive and communities prosper. We care about each other, reaching our potential, making a difference to our communities, and achieving success that is mutual.

  • A comprehensive Total Rewards Program including bonuses and flexible benefits, competitive compensation, commissions, and stock where applicable
  • Leaders who support your development through coaching and managing opportunities
  • Ability to make a difference and lasting impact
  • Work in a dynamic, collaborative, progressive, and high-performing team
  • Flexible work/life balance options
  • Opportunities to do challenging work
