Job Description

What is the opportunity?

This role supports RBC Wealth Management Canada's Training & Development team across four main areas: event planning and coordination, intranet content management, reporting and analytics support, and administrative operations. Key responsibilities include organizing firm-wide conferences and early talent events, maintaining intranet pages with consistent branding, tracking program attendance in Salesforce, and providing scheduling and administrative support to the director and team.

What will you do?

  • Event Planning & Coordination – Plan and execute early talent events and firm-wide conferences, managing logistics, venue arrangements, agendas, speaker schedules, and attendee communications from registration through post-event follow-up.
  • Event Delivery & Vendor Management – Coordinate large-scale event execution (including on-site troubleshooting), liaise with internal stakeholders and external vendors, and prepare event materials and documentation.
  • Event Budget & Performance – Monitor event budgets, track expenses, gather attendee feedback, and analyze event performance to inform future improvements.
  • Hybrid/Virtual Event Support – Provide technical setup and participant engagement support for hybrid and virtual events as needed.
  • Intranet Content Management – Create, edit, and maintain intranet pages; conduct content audits; ensure consistent RBC branding and formatting standards.
  • Intranet Resource Optimization – Collaborate with Training & Development teams to develop learning resources, identify outdated content, and monitor user feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Reporting & Analytics – Track program and national call attendance in Salesforce and support semi-annual branch reporting initiatives.
  • Administrative & Operational Support – Provide day-to-day administrative assistance to the Strategy and Communications team and director, including scheduling, meeting preparation, documentation management, and ad hoc projects using Asana.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Event planning and coordination experience in a corporate environment with proven ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives
  • Strong proficiency with project management tools (Asana) and Microsoft Office suite
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to maintain accurate documentation
  • Proficient with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms for data tracking and reporting
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for cross-functional stakeholder coordination

Nice-to-have

  • Experience with intranet platforms and content management systems
  • Familiarity with hybrid/virtual event technology and technical troubleshooting
  • Background in financial services or wealth management industry
  • Experience with budget tracking
  • Knowledge of RBC systems, culture, or brand standards

What’s in it for you?

We thrive on the challenge to be our best, progressive thinking to keep growing, and working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive and communities prosper. We care about each other, reaching our potential, making a difference to our communities, and achieving success that is mutual.

  • Leaders who support your development through coaching and managing opportunities
  • Ability to make a difference and lasting impact
  • Work in a dynamic, collaborative, progressive, and high-performing team
