Job descriptionA Bachelor's degree, or diploma, in English, Communication, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field. At least 2-3 years of experience in content writing, editing, and proofreading. Superior editing and proofreading skills to maintain consistency in language, style, and formatting across content. Excellent command of the English language, including grammar, spelling, punctuation, and syntax. Strong attention to detail and ability to spot errors and inconsistencies. Exceptional multi-tasking skills and the ability to meet deadlines. Familiarity with SEO principles, and various style guides and formatting standards.

We’re looking for a talented and detail-oriented Content Proofreader to join our growing team. The Content Proofreader will ensure that our clients' web pages, articles, posts, and marketing materials are interesting, consistent, polished, and accurate. Reporting directly to the Content Lead, you will be a crucial part of our team of home services content professionals.
To excel in this role, you should have a strong background in content writing, editing, and proofreading, preferably with experience in online platforms.
Responsibilities
- Ensure content is of high quality, well-written and follows guidelines.
- Fact-check content to ensure names are spelled correctly, information is accurate, and that content is not plagiarized.
- Review creative briefs, edit revisions, and create final drafts.
- Collaborate with the Content and SEO teams to meet client objectives.
- Ensure proper keyword usage and natural integration of target phrases throughout the content.
- Liaise with clients and send content for feedback and approval.
- Follow client editorial style and content guidelines.
Requirements
This position is primarily remote and it is important that you are motivated, self-driven, and can meet deadlines while being responsive and connected using project management and team tools.
