The Volunteer’s Role
The Digital Media Volunteer will play a crucial role in assisting our partner, WFT-T, to amplify the organization's online presence and visibility. This will be achieved through engaging content creation, effective social media management, and support for digital campaigns, all in line with the organization's mission and the RWVL project's goal of promoting human rights and gender equality in Tanzania. As a volunteer, you will support in:
- Content Development: Create visually engaging content for WFT-T and grantees, including videos, social media posts, and infographics, using Canva and Adobe, reflecting feminist values. Support graphic design for materials like newsletters and websites, and document empowering stories.
- Storytelling: Capture and share stories from projects, highlighting women and girls’ voices through posts, blogs, and videos. Create testimonial videos and interactive content.
- Social Media and Digital Campaign Support: Design impactful social media content for various platforms and manage scheduling and monitoring using tools like Hootsuite. Track metrics and provide digital training for staff and grantees.
- Digital Campaigns: Assist in developing effective digital campaigns for initiatives, create visual content on key topics, and optimize marketing strategies to enhance engagement and donations.
- Photography and Videography: Capture and edit high-quality photos and videos during events and campaigns to create compelling digital stories.
Essential Qualifications:
- University degree in communications, marketing, public relations, or a related field in social sciences
Essential Background:
- Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience in communications and marketing roles.
- Proven experience in developing marketing tools and assets.
- Experience collaborating with government agencies and senior management.
- Background in training and facilitation.

Volunteer Support and Requirements
Support Package
Cuso International provides a comprehensive support package to ensure volunteers maintain a modest and healthy lifestyle aligned with local standards. This includes:

Selection and Screening
If you are shortlisted, you will need to:
- Confirm passport or permanent resident details for travel
- Provide two professional references and one personal reference
- Complete a language assessment during the initial phone interview
- Pass a police check and medical clearance before departure
- Comply with anti-terrorism checks
- Agree to uphold the Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) policy and Code of Conduct
