Looking for a place where your work matters, your voice is heard, and your career keeps moving forward? This well-established P&C insurer offers a collaborative, high-energy environment focused on delivering an outstanding customer experience while supporting the people behind the work.

If you enjoy problem-solving, taking ownership of files, and working with a team that genuinely has each other’s backs, this could be a great next step.

Location: Hybrid role in Ontario. Must be able to visit the office in Richmond Hill once per month

Why Join?

You will be part of a professional, people-first organization that believes great results come from engaged, supported employees. The culture is inclusive, performance-driven, and built around continuous improvement.

What’s in it for you:

  • Strong work-life balance supported by a holistic wellness program
  • Ongoing learning through a robust corporate curriculum and education reimbursement
  • Competitive compensation with pay-for-performance recognition
  • Travel incentives plus product and service discounts
  • Comprehensive benefits including a defined contribution pension plan and personal spending account
  • A workplace where growth, recognition, and belonging are more than just words

The Role

As a Property Claims professional, you will manage low to moderate severity claims from start to finish, delivering fair outcomes while providing an excellent customer experience.

What you will do:

  • Investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and settle property claims
  • Interpret policy wordings, legislation, and confirm coverage
  • Conduct investigations including statements, vendor coordination, and contractor consultations
  • Assess liability, salvage, and subrogation opportunities
  • Manage communication with all parties throughout the claims lifecycle
  • Review losses to ensure proper assignment and file quality
  • Respond to client complaints and appeals professionally and effectively
  • Set appropriate reserves based on exposure and authority
  • Review independent adjuster files when required
  • Prepare reports and support special projects as needed

Who You Are

  • Post-secondary education in a relevant field
  • 2 to 5 years of property claims handling experience, plus customer service experience
  • CIP designation completed or in progress
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities
  • Career-minded with a clear interest in long-term growth

Salary range is $60, 000 to $75, 000.

The listed salary range is an estimate for this role. Final compensation will depend on factors such as experience, skills, education, and internal equity. DGA Careers and our client partners strive to offer fair, competitive pay that reflects each individual’s background and value.
