2425-352Salary range : $107,736.77 to $126,749.14 annuallyResponsibilitiesAs the Academic Chair for the School of Trades &

Transportation; Technology and Environment; and Business & Creative Industries, you will lead the delivery of NSCC Business, Trades and Technology programs at the Campus ensuring the highest standard of quality and consistency in programing while supporting student success.

Your strategic and operational leadership is key to ensuring the objectives of programs offered by NSCC are met through efficient and effective management of all fiscal and human resources, while endorsing the application of adult education principles and portfolio learning, within a safe work environment, and portfolio learning in a learning-centered college.

You will be a key member of three School teams. Campuses and Schools share accountability for ensuring a quality-learning environment and a cohesive campus team.

You will use your established relationships in the Business and Trades related sectors regionally and locally to inform programming and opportunities for students.

QualificationsQualifications and Occupational Experience : The minimum educational qualification for this position is a Red Seal designation or an undergraduate degree in a field related to one of the Schools.

A Graduate Degree would be considered an asset.You have a minimum of 7 years of recent and progressive occupational experience in a field related to one of the Schools and a minimum of five years in a formal supervisory, management or leadership role.

Experience in your field includes formal teaching at a post-secondary level.You are familiar with and comfortable using computer applications such as the Microsoft Office Suite, E-mail COGNOS, Microsoft Teams, PeoplesoftYou are comfortable working in a digital environment;

you take responsibility for acquiring knowledge about advancing technology; and you are committed to using technology to create an exceptional student experienceYou have experience in training / facilitation preparation, delivery and evaluationRelevant Skills and KnowledgeYou demonstrate a commitment to inclusion, diversity, equity, accessibility and anti-racismYou possess excellent interpersonal skills that enable you to interact at all levels of an organizationYou are known for your superior customer service skills and are able to create a relationship of trust beyond the immediate interactionYour superb team working skills enable you to contribute positively to a team environmentYou are known for your problem solving and critical thinking skillsYou are a strong communicator both written and oralYou possess excellent coordination skills specifically related to coordinating services, training, events, logistics, etc.
