Job Summary

The Assistant Controller is a strategic business partner assisting the BU Controller, managing the company’s financial, management and compliance functions. The Assistant Controller is responsible for the oversight of the general accounting functions and to ensure compliance measures are in place. The position will identify and implement solutions to mitigate financial risk and enhance the accuracy of the company’s financial reporting. The position will support finance teams in China, Vietnam and Canada, with 2 direct reports.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Manage the financial head quarter close process for the entire business unit.
  • Oversee the financial reporting team for headquarters reporting.
  • Support the Internal Control Compliance for both internal and external audits of business units’ financials as well US Sarbanes Oxley-404 (SOX) testing and compliance. Owns the quarterly review of all SOX controls.
  • Maintains the monthly corporate reporting package and drives the standardization of financial reporting across the organization. Includes monthly reporting into corporate and adhering to defined close schedule.
  • Ensure compliance with international, local, state, and federal government reporting requirements.

Qualifications And Skills Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; CPA strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of six to eight years of professional work experience in accounting or finance functions. Experience at a public accounting firm a plus
  • Superior analytical and financial modeling capabilities with an emphasis on cost accounting in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient with ERP processes and data
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills, with a proven ability to manage staff and develop talent.
  • 40%-50% international travel required

The base salary range for this position is $100,000 - $130,000 annually. In determining the rate of pay, Amphenol considers a variety of nondiscriminatory factors, including but not limited to geographic location, relevant industry experience, qualifications, skills, and education. It would be rare for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for a given role. Base salary is one facet of Amphenol's total rewards package which includes participation in our comprehensive benefits program with medical, dental, and vision benefits, vacation, sick leave, paid holidays, life insurance, short/long term disability, and membership in our Defined Contribution Pension Plan.
